Having trained as an art teacher, Gerda explored several artistic disciplines –such as painting, print making, photography & ceramics– before starting designing handbags in the late nineties. This diversity later led to her unique vision and approach. She expanded her technical knowledge by attending various specialized training courses in leather processing, both in Belgium and the Netherlands. But most of her knowledge was gained by developing her own handbags in her home studio in Asse, in the middle of the countryside surrounding Brussels. In that studio, she started developing a growing collection of extraordinary handbags & leatherware, both for women and men. Bags are being sold in a few selected shops, as well as at home and online.
